At Pathways Memory Care nutrition is one of our priorities
At Pathways, every aspect of our residents’ well-being is important. Because individuals living with cognitive impairment are at a greater risk of nutritional issues, we take great care in the selection, preparation and delivery of meals and snacks. Our dietitians ensure that extra care is taken to prepare meals that are nutritional and visually appealing to our residents.
For the person living with Alzheimer’s or dementia, proper nutrition is important to keep the body strong and healthy. It has also been shown to heighten concentration, improve performance and mood, while keeping energy levels steady.
We pride ourselves on making dining services more than just a meal. In addition to meeting nutritional needs, we believe that good food experiences are a wonderful way to reconnect with the past and create positive feelings of health and well-being. Our menus are formulated and approved by dietary experts specially trained in food and nutrition. As a result, residents enjoy a balanced diet rich in fruits and vegetables, whole grains, recognizable foods and comfort foods.
